Blazon
Blazon is a drawing studio that runs on your phone and talks to nobody. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no internet connection, and the arms you design stay in the app's own storage where only you can see them.
Who we are

What the app holds
Your gallery of arms: the designs you build, the names you give them, their thumbnails and their composed blazons — plus your settings, such as the default shield, the backdrop and the accent colour.
Where. In the app's private storage on the device. There is no server behind Blazon, so nothing is uploaded, nothing is synced and we cannot look at your gallery. The only copy that may exist elsewhere is your own Android backup at Google, if that is switched on for your phone.
What the app asks for
Permissions: none. No location, no camera, no microphone, no contacts, no access to your files. Every shield, charge and fur is drawn by the app itself, so there is nothing to fetch and no connection to make.
What we never collect
No account, no email address, no advertising identifier, no analytics events, no crash SDK of our own, no profiling of any kind. We do not know that you opened the app, how many arms you have made, or what is in them.
Google Play's part
The app reaches you through Google Play, which operates under its own privacy policy. If your device is set to share usage and diagnostics with Google, aggregated crash and performance reports may appear to us in the Play Console. Nobody is identifiable in them, and we use them only to repair faults.
Children
Blazon is suitable for younger users: there is no chat, no link out, nothing to buy and nothing collected from anyone, at any age.
About the arms you design
Every charge in Blazon is an original drawing and the app does not reproduce any real family's, town's or state's arms. What you design belongs to you.
It is worth saying plainly that designing arms is not the same as being entitled to them. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, arms are granted by the College of Arms; in Scotland they are matriculated by the Court of the Lord Lyon, and bearing arms that are not yours is a legal matter there, not a question of manners. Enjoy the craft, avoid copying arms that already belong to someone, and don't present an app design as a grant.
If you write to us
An email brings us your address and your message, and any design you choose to attach. We use them to reply and to fix the app, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering correspondence, and delete the exchange within twelve months of our last reply unless the law requires us to hold it longer.
Your rights, and complaints
You may ask for access to personal data we hold about you, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to its use, and portability. Realistically that can only be an email you have sent us. Ask, and we answer within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Clearing the gallery, and changes here
To erase everything the app has stored, open its entry in Android settings, go to storage and clear the data; uninstalling has the same effect, and both take your saved arms with them, so export or screenshot anything you want to keep first. This page is revised, with a new date at the top, before any release that changes how the app handles data.
